Description
The GY-271 module is a breakout board that uses the QMC5883L digital compass (magnetometer) sensor. It’s commonly used in robotics, drones, and navigation systems for detecting magnetic field direction (i.e., heading or orientation relative to Earth’s magnetic field).
Key Features
-
Sensor Chip: QMC5883L (a replacement for HMC5883L)
-
Communication: I2C (2-wire: SDA, SCL)
-
Operating Voltage: 3.3V to 5V
-
Axes: 3-axis magnetometer (X, Y, Z)
-
Use Case: Electronic compass, heading detection, orientation estimation.
