Description
Heat is the enemy of electronics. When your Raspberry Pi works hard—processing video, compiling code, or running a retro game emulator—its processor heats up. If it gets too hot, the system automatically slows down to protect itself (a process known as thermal throttling). The solution is simple: install an Adhesive Aluminum Heatsink kit to dissipate that heat and keep your performance high.
Why You Need a Heatsink
Even if you aren’t overclocking, the Raspberry Pi 4 and 3B+ run significantly warmer than older models. An Adhesive Aluminum Heatsink increases the surface area available for cooling, allowing air to carry heat away from the chips faster. This passive cooling solution is silent, requires no power, and can lower your CPU temperature by up to 20°C.
Easy “Peel-and-Stick” Installation
We know that messing with thermal paste can be messy and risky for beginners. That is why our Adhesive Aluminum Heatsink kit comes with high-quality thermal conductive tape already applied to the base.
- Clean the surface of the chips on your Raspberry Pi 4 Model B.
- Peel off the blue backing paper from the heatsink.
- Press it firmly onto the chip. The strong adhesive ensures the heatsink stays in place, even if you mount your Pi vertically.
Universal Compatibility
While designed for the Raspberry Pi, this 3-piece set is versatile.
- The Large Heatsink: Fits perfectly on the main Broadcom CPU.
- The Small Heatsinks: Ideal for the RAM chip, USB controller, or the voltage regulator. You can also use an Adhesive Aluminum Heatsink on motor drivers, step-down converters, or any small component on an Arduino Board that gets hot to the touch.
Features
- 1 x 14mm(L) x 14mm(W) x 5mm(H) Heatsink for SoC (System on Chip)
- 1 x 9mm(L) x 9mm(W) x 4mm(H) Heatsink for Voltage Regulator
- 1 x 9mm(L) x 9mm(W) x 4mm(H) Heatsink for LAN9512
Install instructions
- Make sure the chip modules are free from dirt and grease.
- The Heatsink have a layer of adhesive on the back of them.
- Simply peel the adhesive off.
- Affix the heatsinks on the chip modules and apply firm pressure.
Extend Your Board’s Lifespan
Heat stress can reduce the life of electronic components over time. For the price of a cup of coffee, this Adhesive Aluminum Heatsink kit adds a layer of protection to your investment. Order yours from Faranux Electronics today and keep your projects running cool.
